Anran At Tidwell Farm - A historic country house with courtyard views, farm-fresh breakfasts, and proximity to Dartmoor landmarks

Anran At Tidwell Farm occupies a renovated 19th-century country house set within a working dairy farm near Staverton. The Manor sleeps up to 16 guests, while barn suites feature original beamed ceilings, four-poster beds, and kitchenettes with microwaves and fridges. A continental breakfast, including farm-fresh eggs and pastries, is served in-room or as a 'cook your own' option. The property overlooks a gravel courtyard with vintage agricultural artifacts, and Barn Room 2 offers floor-to-ceiling courtyard views. Nearby attractions include Buckfast Abbey (3 km), Dartington Hall Estate (4 km), and Pridhamsleigh Cavern (3 km). Exeter International Airport is 50 km away. Guests at Anran At Tidwell Farm can explore Dartmoor's granite tors and wooded valleys or visit the South Devon Railway (3 km).

Pros

The historic barn suites feature original beams and four-poster beds.

Farm-fresh breakfast options include locally sourced eggs and pastries.

Proximity to Dartmoor landmarks like Buckfast Abbey and Dartington Hall.

The courtyard retains its agricultural character with vintage artifacts.

Flexible accommodation options, including entire manor rentals for groups.

Cons

No on-site restaurant; dining options require short drives.

The rural location may necessitate a car for exploration.

“This lovingly renovated property stands out for its exceptional design, set within a unique barn conversion. The host's relaxed and helpful manner elevates the experience, while the animal residents and gardens add unexpected charm. It seems perfect for gatherings, or even a memorable wedding.”
